Does it matter where your oxygen concentrator is built?
At Oxygen Parts Inc., we know that finding an oxygen concentrator can sometimes feel overwhelming. You deserve to have a product you can rely on, and our mission is to help you find it. That’s why in today’s post, we’re breaking down one of the most commonly asked questions we get — does it matter where your oxygen concentrator is made?
The case for American Made and Engineered Medical Oxygen Concentrators
Several of the oxygen concentrators on the market have components manufactured in countries where the materials are of lower quality standards than those produced in the United States. This is causing supply chain and dependability concerns. American medical oxygen concentrators are designed, developed, and produced with as many components (as possible) made in the United States or to our standards, which ensures a higher-quality product. The American Medical Association reports that Americans purchase more than $300 billion worth of foreign imports each year, and they’re not always getting the best quality. Why take the risk with your health and safety when you can depend on an oxygen concentrator made in the U.S.?
Why quality parts matter
Oxygen concentrators are made up of several components which work together to provide the life-sustaining service. Each component plays a crucial role in how efficiently and effectively the device delivers oxygen to users with respiratory conditions such as COPD, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or pulmonary hypertension. When buying an oxygen concentrator, people should be concerned about what it’s built with, not just where it’s built.
Durability and Warranty: Read warranty fine print
American made medical oxygen concentrators are made with durable materials that help ensure long-lasting dependability and performance while delivering safe, healthy oxygen to users around the clock. At Oxygen Parts Inc. our series of portable O2 concentrators and stationary oxygen concentrators follow US quality control guidelines, and all components meet or exceed industry standards for safety and performance, including FDA requirements for medical devices. Oxygen parts Inc also offers the standard five year warranty coverage on the OxyGo Next portable oxygen concentrator. The standard warranties on the products we recommend are as follows: OxyHome Stationary has a 3 year exchange warranty. OxyGo warranties are described as 5-1-1 which means 5 years on machine-1 year on batteries-1 year on columns for OxyGo Next. OxyGo Fit is a 3-1-1 warranty meaning 3 years on machine-1 year on the battery-1 year on the colums. Inogen standard warranty for G4 & G5 is 3-1-1, 3 years on the machine 1 year on the batteries 1 year on the columns. These are all the standard warranties without an upcharge for longer and lifetime warranties. We recommend replacing the machines from 4-7 years, so standard warranties pair up well with a purchase price to negate needing an upcharge for a longer warranty when its most likely the standard warranty will last the life expectancy of the equipment.
